WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSAW)-- The Never Forgotten Honor Flight leaves lasting memories, especially for this couple who both happen to be World War II veterans.

Maurice and Esther Rands both served in the army.

Esther was a light duty truck driver, who chauffeured dignitaries through France, Austria and England.

Maurice was in the signal corps, largely delivering messages and mail.

"She worked in the Signals center. I used to go there every day dropping messages off, picking up messages, but i never met her til i got home," Maurice Rands said.

The two have been happily married for 68 years.
