Wood Carving Show drawing new interest
Wood carvers from all across the country are in Stevens Point this weekend showing off their latest works of art at the 16th annual Wisconsin River Woodcarving Show.
Around 130 exhibitors lined the halls of the Holiday Inn Convention Center.
Life-like wooden birds and fish inspired visitors while vendors sold raw goods needed for carving.
Organizers say the art form is growing in popularity, with this year's novice class being the largest they've seen.
The opens to visitors once again on Sunday September 18 at 9 a.m.
