Light rain will begin to fall early in the evening, and continue overnight. Most precipitation will fall in the form of rain, but since the ground is still fairly cold, we could see some freezing on surfaces like sidewalks and driveways. Foggy conditions are also expected to develop.
The rain will taper off a bit for tomorrow morning and early afternoon, with just light showers or drizzle expected. Foggy conditions will continue, and highs will be in the low to mid 40s. Chances for rain will ramp up again by the evening.
Moderate to heavy rain will be possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning. We could even hear some rumbles of thunder. The rain will continue into the day on Thursday, and temperatures will range from the upper 40s to low 50s.
Temperatures will begin to cool rapidly Thursday night. This will transition the rain back into a wintry mix of sleet and snow. Minor snow accumulation will be possible across north central WI by Friday morning.
Seasonal temperatures and dry weather will return for the weekend. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid to upper 30s.
