Weather Authority: Arctic blast arrives on Monday

Mostly cloudy on Saturday with a chance of snow showers later in the day in Central Wisconsin. A bit milder with highs in the mid 30s. Any flurries or snow showers wind down early Saturday night. Sunday features considerable cloudiness with a risk of snow showers at night as a cold front drops into the region. Highs on Sunday in the low 30s.

Cold for Veterans Day with more clouds than breaks of sunshine. Afternoon readings may only peak in the upper teens, which would challenge the record cold highs on the books for Monday. Tuesday morning will also be close to record low levels with readings close to zero or only in the single digits to start the day. Some sunshine on Tuesday with highs in the low 20s. Clouds are back on Wednesday with the risk of snow showers later in the day, and periods of snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning. If this system materializes, some accumulation is possible, which could impact the Thursday morning drive. The storm is still several days out, and the track could change, so be sure to check back for updates.
