Bond set at $50K for woman charged in high volume marijuana operation

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW)-- A 26-year-old Wausau woman charged Friday after investigators arrested her following an investigation into a high-volume marijuana distributor remains in custody on $50,000 cash bond.

Kimberly Bungert, 26, is charged with 12 counts including maintaining a drug trafficking place and drug possession.

According to a news release from the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, investigators seized 5.5 pounds of marijuana, 30 ounces of marijuana extract, and 8 ounces of marijuana edibles-- totaling a street value of nearly $95,000. Officers also seized 11 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, 4 pounds of promethazine with codeine, 10 doses of MDMA and $18,000 in cash.

A judge will determine if there is enough evidence for her case to head to trial on Dec. 12.
