Wausau native writes book to inspire children to find their inner super power

It's a book designed to inspire children to find their inner super power and it's written by a Wausau native.

Marla McKenna stopped by NewsChannel 7 at 5 on Thursday to tell us all about "I'm a Secret Superhero." The book teaches important life lessons, like the importance of children believing in themselves and showing kindness.

Marla is also doing a book signing at Janke Book Store in Wausau on Dec. 19 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Marla also wrote "Mom's Big Catch" and "Sadie's Big Steal."

Part of the proceeds from Marla's books go to The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation to help animals in need. Singer, Actor and Author Rick Springfield and his family are matching Marla's donations from her books.
