UPDATE: 2 vehicles heavily damaged, no injuries after vehicle fire in Wausau garage unit
Two vehicles are heavily damaged and another has minor damage after a fire in a garage unit on Monday night.
According to Wausau Fire Department Battalion Chief, Allen Antolik, crews were called to 4th Avenue and Merrill Avenue for reports of a structure fire that started in a garage behind an apartment complex.
No one was injured or taken to the hospital and the fire was contained within minutes of arrival. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the Wausau Police Department will remain on the scene throughout the night.
"All units were available so we were able to respond fairly quickly," stated Battalion Chief Antolik. "By the time we arrived there was already a fair amount of damage from the fire."
