Test your private well water, chances are, it's contaminated

Approximately 1.7 million people in Wisconsin use a private well, but only 16% of people in Wisconsin with private wells test their drinking water annually, according to the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism. Almost 50% of private wells in Wisconsin are projected to be contaminated above health standards.

Sunrise 7 spoke with Bret Tangley, President of Water Quality Association and Owner of Sterling Water Culligan to find out what contaminates are in Wisconsin water, if levels are considered dangerous, how well owners can test their water, and how it can be treated.
