Teen performers to compete at Central Wis. Show Choir Spectacular

COLBY, Wis. (WSAW) -- Now in its 14th year, the Central Wisconsin Show Choir Spectacular has been going on for so long, some of the performers in this year's show couldn't even talk (much less sing) when the competition began.

Sixteen groups will perform including the Colby Coalition, including students from Minnesota. Director Kevin Spindler and several members of the group stopped by Sunrise 7 Tuesday morning to talk about the event. Groups are judged on vocals and choreography as well as music.

The 2018 Central Wisconsin Show Choir Spectacular starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at Colby High School. The top seven groups from the day competition move on to perform in an evening sing-off for Grand Champion.

There is an admission fee of $12 for the prelims, $12 for the finals or $15 for both rounds.
