STANLEY, Wis. (WEAU) -- Staney-Boyd area School District and Stanley Police have deemed the threat at a school earlier as "not credible."

They say the safety of their students and staff continues to be a top priority.

Eau Claire Police are still investigating the threat made at Bolton Refuge House. Officials say the two threats are connected.

STANLEY, Wis. (WEAU)—Stanley- Boyd schools will remain under a soft hold until police have more information on a threat that was made to a student.

Stanley Police say the source of the information is being investigated and there will be an increased law enforcement presence around the school as a precaution. They also say a soft hold means limited access in/out of the campus and no outside recess will happen.

Police were made aware of the threat early Tuesday morning.

Josh Miller of Eau Claire Police says the threat at Stanley- Boyd is related to the threat made at Bolton Refuge house Monday evening. Miller says a threat was made toward a resident of Bolton Refuge House and they are unsure if the suspect is in the area or still in the state.
