Silver Alert canceled for Waukesha man thought to be traveling to Wausau

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW)-- The Wisconsin Department of Justice has not released details about the location of man missing from Waukesha who was thought to have traveled to Wausau. However, the DOJ said John Abel was located safely.

A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday.

According to the alert, Abel had called his brother, who lives in Wausau, from the St. Vincent de Paul store in Waukesha Tuesday. He was last seen at that Waukesha store.

Investigators said he hadn’t arrived at his brother's home.

Details about Abel’s whereabouts were not released.
