Thanks for logging on for more information about Share Your Holidays!

SYH is our annual fundraiser and food drive at NewsChannel 7.

We start it off Friday, December 2 at 6:30PM in the Wausau Holiday Parade. Members of our staff will be pushing grocery carts, taking your donations of non-perishable food and money.

On Friday, December 9, the popular Celebrity Gas Pump for Share Your Holidays returns! From 5 to 9AM, members of the NewsChannel 7 staff will pump your gas, give you a cup of coffee and a certificate for a car wash at the Wagner Shell in Weston in return for a donation. It's a lot of fun and usually the coldest morning of December! By the way, you won't have to use the car wash that day.

The next day, Saturday, December 10, we're adding a new event. It's

Celebrity Grocery Bagging for Share Your Holidays. From 10 to Noon that morning, members of the NewsChannel 7 staff will bag your groceries in return for a donation to SYH. And yes, we all know not to put the eggs at the bottom of the bag!

The final Friday morning, December 16, we bring back another old favorite. We'll take donations in front of the NewsChannel 7 studios on Grand Ave. In return, you'll get a free cup of Biggby coffee and a cookie homemade by Jeff Thelen's mom. That runs from 4:30 to 7AM during our morning newscast, Sunrise 7.

If you can't make it to any of the events, you can make food and money donations at all River Valley Bank branches and at the NewsChannel 7 studios on Grand Ave. in Wausau. You can make food donations at Wausau area Wagner Shell Stations and at our newest sponsor, Crossroads County Market in Wausau.

This is the 10th anniversary of Share Your Holidays at NewsChannel 7. Over the years, you've been incredibly generous, donating more than $140,000 and tons of food. We would like nothing better than to say no one is going hungry anymore and Share Your Holidays is history. But unfortunately, the need is greater than ever.

All of the money and food donated goes to The Salvation Army and Neighbor's Place food pantries.

Thanks to our sponsors for helping out. They are River Valley Bank, which has been with us from the start. The Dudley Foundation, Wagner Shell, JX Truck Center and our new sponsor, County Market.

But most of all, thanks to you for all the help!

Jeff Thelen
