Sex offender presentation offered Tuesday at NTC in Wausau

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- North Central Technical College in Wausau will host an in depth presentation about the sex offenders living in the community and how they are monitored. The event is free and is sponsored by the Marathon County Sexual Assault Intervention Team.

The program, Sex Offender 101, is Tuesday, April 16 from 6- 7:30 p.m.

A panel of experts includes Marathon County District Attorney, Department of Corrections Sex Offender Agent, and the Sex Offender Registry Specialist.

Attendees will also learn more about sexual assault laws and what determines someone to be on the registry.

The presentation is held in the Industry Building, Room CBI110, 1000 Campus Dr., in Wausau.
