Neillsville man dies in crash Tuesday

Bryan Acker, 58, of Neillsville died Tuesday when his pickup truck crashed into a semi truck that jack-knifed on US-10 in Clark County.
The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on US-10 near Resewood Avenue in the Township of Hewett.
According to a press release from the Clark County Sheriff's Office, a 38-year-old semi truck driver from Texas lost control of his vehicle and went into the south ditch. The trailer jack-knifed and blocked both lanes of the road.
Acker was driving a pickup truck, hauling another vehicle on a trailer and struck the driver's side of the semi trailer.
The semi truck driver and his passenger were not injured. Acker was taken to a hospital in Neillsville where he was pronounced dead. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt.
This is the 2nd traffic fatality in Clark County for 2019.
