WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW)-- Eleven high schools will receive a combine total of nearly $41,000 thanks in part to people gas up their vehicle at designed pump at select Riiser gas stations.

Riiser Energy debuted their “Pride Pumps” in late 2015. The pump feature a logo of the high school it benefits and two-cent from each gallon will be donated to that school

“This is only the beginning!” stated Todd Kopplin, Riiser vice president of retail in a news release. “Many of the locations only had a Pride Pump installed for a portion of 2016. Next year we expect even higher donation totals. We are delighted to be able to partner with local schools in the communities in which we operate.”

Schools that have a Pride Pump include Wausau East, Wausau West, D.C. Everest, Wausau Newman, Coleman High School, Gillet High School, Merrill High School, Mosinee High School, Edgar High School, and Marathon High School, and Northland Lutheran High School.

The total contribution will depend upon the gallons sold through the Pride Pump, but it is anticipated to result in an annual donation to these districts of between $4,000 and $7,000.
