Wednesday marked the 2nd anniversary of Mackenzie Marken's disappearance. Mackenzie was 14-years-old at the time and was last seen in October of 2015.

Her best friend Fallon Brown said she misses Mackenzie dearly and just wants her to come home.

"It's really upsetting not knowing where she is or if she is okay. It makes me uneasy knowing that someone could just go missing without a trace," said Brown.

Detective Sgt. Dan Goff with the Everest Metro Police Department said since Mackenzie went missing the department has followed up on hundreds of leads and is still asking for the public's help.

Mackenzie's loved ones and people in the community, like Pastor Joe Carlson from Good News Church in Mosinee have held a number of fundraisers and events since her disappearance. They said it's to keep her story in the forefront and on the minds of others.

"We put on an event a Good news Church partially to raise funds but mostly to raise awareness because it seemed like nothing happened. I remember thinking that's not right, I do not want my community to be a community where a young girl goes missing and no one notices," said Pastor Carlson.
