MADISON, Wis. (WISC) -- State investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the victims in a massive child porn and extortion case and there could be up to 500 possible victims.

The case against David Ohmar Harris, 25, of Las Vegas started with a Vilas County teen talking to authorities about Harris who was then charged with two counts of producing child pornography and then harassing and intimidating her.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice is working with federal authorities on the case and they now have evidence that the Harris case may involve many more victims and they're reaching out to the public to help find them.

"We're looking for the media's help and help from the public as we are examining the possibility of up to 500 victims here, most of which have not yet been identified," said Attorney General Brad Schimel. "And we're looking for information that might help us to identify those victims to further protect them and also to hold this individual accountable."

The case is being tried in Wisconsin federal court.
