MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) A 52-year-old man is in the Wood County Jail after police said he chased two social workers from his home and with a knife and refused to cooperate with police.

Marshfield police said they were called to the 200 block of N. Spruce Street Friday after the suspect, identified as Patrick Langreck, refused to drop the knife. Police released video of the incident on their Facebook page.

Police said Langreck walked toward two officers armed with two knives.

Officers used bean bag rounds and K9 “H” to defuse the situation.

Police are recommending he be charged with recklessly endangering safety.

Langreck was previously convicted of stealing and selling Dick Trickle's "Purple Knight" stock car in 2017. Prosecutors said the car belonged to Langreck's brother and Patrick Langreck had no right to sell it. Langreck was ordered to pay $8,850 in restitution.
