UPDATE: Identity released of inmate found dead at the Marathon County Jail

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Marathon County Sheriff's Office released the identity of the female inmate found unresponsive in a receiving cell at the Marathon County Jail Tuesday.

Melissa Graebner-Young, 56, was booked into the jail Tuesday afternoon on a probation violation after getting arrested for 5th offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

After arriving at the jail, Graebner-Young experienced a medical emergency, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.

Corrections officers and paramedics attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.

An autopsy was completed Wednesday and the results will likely not be available for several weeks.

The investigation into the death is ongoing.

In the press release the sheriff's office expressed condolences to Graebner-Young's family and friends.
