Target is recalling nearly 19,000 Magnetic Tic Tac Toe board game sets as they are potential choking hazard. No injuries have been reported.
The magnetic pieces of the game can come off the board, and if two or more pieces are swallowed, they can link together inside the intestines and clamp onto body tissues, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The game was sold from December 2016 to February 2017.
The connection between magnets can also cause intestinal obstructions, perforations, sepsis and death. The commission says internal injuries from the magnets can pose serious lifelong health effects.
Consumers who have purchased the game set can contact Target for a full refund.
