WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAW) --- Danny Greiser is the 46th person to receive a flag and have it installed for free from a local nonprofit called Renewed Liberty.

The charity is managed by a Wisconsin Rapids native, Ben Holberg. It's an organization focused around showing appreciation for our Central Wisconsin veterans and active military members and their families.

Holberg will come to the homes of any of the three and install a free house-mounted flagpole and flag.

"I love doing it-- it gives me a great sense of pride to know that I'm helping these veterans, in a way that no one else seemingly is doing," he said.

For Danny Greisler, he said it's an honor to receive the flag and he hopes more veterans get one.

"It means a great deal. I think it's a great honor to have this going for veterans to receive a flag like this and I think it's a real great honor to be one them chosen to receive it," Greisler said.

The organization, Renewed Liberty, also has a connection with a funeral home in Wisconsin Rapids so that fallen veterans receive a flag at their burial.
