Langlade County reports first COVID-19 case

The Langlade County Health Department is confirming the county’s first case of COVID-19.

According to a news release, the person is isolated at home and people who have had contact with the patient will be notified. No other details about the person were released.

“Langlade County Health Department is working with local, state, and other partners to deal quickly and effectively and are doing all necessary follow up,” Health Office Meghan Williams stated.

The Health Department is reminding anyone who develops a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other respiratory symptoms, to inform their health care provider.

Langlade and Taylor County had no cases prior to Wednesday. Taylor County also reported its first case Wednesday.
