Going 'green' ahead of Earth Day; tips and tricks from actress and activist Annabelle Gurwitch

(WZAW) -- Just in time for Earth day, both the Earth and the debate over climate change are heating up.

On Friday, actress, environmental activist and New York Times best-seller Annabelle Gurwitch talked on NewsChannel 7 at 4 about ways to best 'go-green' and protect the planet.

Gurwitch was the host of a show on Planet Green Network called "WA$TED", in which she would go through your trash and show you ways to recycle.

Her most recent book is the essay collection, "Wherever You Go, There They Are: stories about my family you might relate to". Her other books are "I See You Made an Effort", "You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up" and "Fired!", also a Showtime Comedy Special.

Gurwitch has also made appearances on the shows Boston Legal, Dexter and Seinfeld.
