Fire crews in Wood County spent roughly four hours fighting a building fire in the Town of Hansen. The fire Wednesday night displaced a family of six.

First responders were called to a large building along Grant Street around 9:30 p.m., according to the Vesper Fire Department. Heavy smoke and flames were spotted throughout the 3,000 square foot building which is used as an auto repair shop and home.

While no injuries were reported, authorities say the Red Cross is helping the affected family. The cause is still under investigation.
