WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Wausau Community is coming together to support and honor the victims of the March 22 shooting last Spring.
All day on Thursday March 22, you can help out simply by eating out at participating restaurants.
It's called 'Dining out for Be Amazing,' and it's an event that was made all to help the 'Be Amazing' group which was created by Detective Jason Weiland's daughters after he was killed in those Weston area shootings.
Ten restaurants will donate ten percent from each check on Thursday March 22 when a 'Be Amazing' flyer is presented to them. The flyer can either be printed off or given out by cashiers.
At the end of the day, a combined total donation from all of the restaurants will be given to the 'Be Amazing' group.
That money will go towards the 'Be Amazing' fund, which helps provide opportunities for kids want a chance to do in our community.
Participating restaurants are below:
-Buffalo Wild Wings
-Milwaukee Burger Co.
-Wausau Mine Co.
