Donations Pour in During Final Day of Share Your Holidays
Donations poured in to start the final day of Share Your Holidays, NewsChannel 7's annual food drive and fundraiser.
The Wausau Firefighters Association got the say started with a huge contribution. They've helped out in the past, but reached amazing new levels this year with a $5000 donation.
The money was raised during Wausau Fire Charity Ride in May. The 60-member association also donated money to three other charities with money raised from the event.
Yach's Body and Custom also dropped off an SUV full of food Friday. They tell us that comes from workers who decided to give to charity instead of buying each other Christmas gifts this year.
Celebrating it's 10th year, Share Your Holidays collects food and money for the Neighbor's Place and Salvation Army food pantries.
This year, there is $35,000 of matching donations. So every dollar donated up to $35K is doubled.
Share Your Holidays is brought to you by NewsChannel 7, River Valley Bank, JX Truck Center and Wagner Shell.
Matching donations are provided by River Valley Bank, The Dudley Foundation and The Miller-Halvorsen Family.
