KNOWLTON, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Marathon County Sheriff's Office reports the child was found safe and father was taken into custody Saturday night.
Marathon County Sheriff's Department Supervisor Ryan Hillman said the department was alerted of the location of Jaiden Hunt and his suspected abductor Jamie Hunt.
They were found in a home near where Jaiden Hunt was taken at 10 Saturday morning.
Jamie Hunt was taken into custody without incident at 9:15 Saturday night. Jaiden Hunt was reunited with his mother shortly after being located.
Marathon County Sheriff's Department plans on releasing a formal statement with more information.
The Marathon County Sheriff's Office has just released new information about a child abduction in Knowlton. A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for an eight-year-old child.
Jaiden C. Hunt is believed to be with his father, 35-year-old Jamie Christopher Hunt, who is considered armed and dangerous. According to Amber Alert Wisconsin, Jamie was armed with a machete and is under the influence of methamphetamine.
According to Marathon County Sheriff's deputies, a call came in just before 10 a.m. Saturday for a domestic disturbance on the 2000 block of County Road X. They say Jamie Hunt held a knife to a victim's throat and struck the victim. Deputies say he then left with his son, Jaiden.
Jamie is a white male, 5'9'' and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a bright blue t-shirt with a game controller on it and the words 'play me.'
Jaiden is white with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white tank top and silver or white shorts.
They are believed to be in a purple 2004 Chrysler Town and Country Van with a Wisconsin license plate of 139-YNU. The van has six 'Star Wars' Storm Troopers stickers in the back driver's side window.

According to an alert from the Wood County Dispatch Center around 2:30 Saturday afternoon, Jaiden was possibly scene in the area of 17th Avenue North in Wisconsin Rapids. According to dispatchers, law enforcement followed up but it wasn't Jaiden or his father, Jamie.
