Ceremonial burn expands Wautoma School District partnership with Fox Valley Technical College
The Wautoma community is burning down their old school district office to signify the start of a new school approach.
The city is getting a new regional center to meet the education and training needs of the community. According to a press release from Fox Valley Technical College, increased demands for its services have called for a newer building with more space.
The new 12,000 square-foot facility will be housed on the Wautoma High School campus, also serving as the new location for the Wautoma School District office and Workforce Development Job Center.
The expanded programming in the upcoming facility includes truck driving, industrial maintenance, and nursing assistant. The press release states a partnership exists between Wautoma High School and Fox Valley Technical College in welding, calling the upcoming building a "unique K-14-like setting." A welding bay, industrial maintenance and flexible learning classrooms with added computers will also be added.
