MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Bucks' championship run has the city buzzing with anticipation that the team has a chance to win its first title since 1971.
The team's long string of losing seasons made them an afterthought in a state where the Green Bay Packers are the fan favorites. But now the Bucks are the hottest ticket in town and after eliminating the Boston Celtics Wednesday they're one series away from reaching the NBA finals.
Several hundred fans are gathering outside the arena to watch each playoff game on jumbo screens when they can't get in and all around the city the pride in the team is evident. Billboards on the highway are counting down how many victories the teams need to win the title. That number is eight.
