A 50-year-old man is in the hospital after a crash in Rothschild.

According to Rothschild Police Officer Trever Ostrowski, the driver was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threating injuries.

The man was traveling alone on East Grand Avenue in Rothschild when he had a medical emergency causing him to swerve off the road and hit a utility pole in front of Coral Lanes Bowling Alley.

Emergency crews struggled to free the man since an active power line prevented them from performing an immediate rescue. WPS was called to the scene to turn the power off.

Traffic was rerouted but all lanes have since reopened.
