WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WMTV) -- More than 100 law enforcement officers will gather in Wisconsin Dells for the next three days in an effort to make the state safer.
Attorney General Brad Schimel opened his annual Public Safety Summit Tuesday. Those in attendance will discuss elder abuse, officer wellness and school safety. Schimel will also announce the recipients of school safety grants.
"These are good things for Wisconsin. No more important responsibility than keeping our kids safe. So, I think we'll get support. We'll work again in a bipartisan way with this legislature," he said.
Additional school safety grants will be awarded to schools throughout the remainder of 2018.
