Wausau East students direct 'Packer Fans from Outer Space'

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- Green Bay Packers fans have a culture all their own and while it makes sense to Wisconsinites, to others it may feel alien.

The devoted fan base is the subject of "Packer Fans From Outer Space" which bills itself as "the world's first sci-fi football musical comedy." Thursday, a new production opens at Wausau East High School.

Brenton Kniess and Mark Radtke, the show's co-directors, stopped by Sunrise 7 Tuesday morning to talk about their student-led show.

'Packer Fans From Outer Space' opens Thursday at 7 p.m. with additional evening performances Friday and Saturday at the Wausau East black box theater. There's also a Saturday matinee at 1 p.m.

Tickets are available for $10 at the Wausau East business office as well as at the door.
