3 killed, 4 injured in Shawano car crash

LIMESTONE, Wis. (WSAW) --- According to a press release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, three were killed and four injured in a car crash Friday night on WIS 29 near Bonduel in Shawano County. It occurred at 9:33 p.m.

A 38-year-old male from Bonduel was killed, as well as a 9-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl. The name of the 38-year-old victim has not yet been released.

According to the release, a Dodge mini-van was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of WIS 29 when it struck a westbound Chrysler mini-van head-on. The 38-year-old male was the driver and sole occupant of the Dodge. There were six occupants in the Chrysler, including the two killed children.

The other four occupants of the Chrysler received serious injuries.

Shawano County Sheriff's Office, Shawano Ambulance and Fire, Bonduel EMS and Fire and Theda Star responded to the crash.
