3 arrested in heroin overdose death, $24K worth of heroin seized
Bond has been set at $1 million for one of three people charged Monday following the heroin overdose death of a 28-year-old man.
Authorities responded to a home on County Highway W near Wausau in the Town of Texas late Friday night for an unresponsive man. Life saving efforts were not successful. The man was pronounced dead shortly after midnight. His name has not been released.
Following the execution of a search warrant, officers seized 960 doses of heroin worth an estimated street value of $24,000.
Riley Weinkauf, 28, Tonya Muzynoski, 37, and Shabaka Nubian-Yl, 51 were arrested. All three are charged with first degree reckless homicide and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Muzynoski and Nubian-Yl are also charged with two counts of possession of heroin and an additional count of maintaining drug trafficking place.
According to court documents, after learning of the man's death, Nubian-Yl said, "These [expletives] all complain about weak [expletive] dope and then I serve them good, strong dope and they die".
Judge set bond at $1 million for Nubian-Yl; $500,000 for Muzynoski and $250,000 for Weinkauf.
