2 people sent to the hospital after early morning crash

Two people went to the hospital after a crash that occurred on HWY 29 in Edgar on Sunday morning.

Around 12 a.m. a car on the side of the highway was hit by a truck. No one was in the car at the time of the crash. The car was waiting for assistance on the side of the road.

There were two passengers in the truck and both were taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
