CONOVER, Wis. (AP) -- Two people are hurt after a school bus collided with a car in Vilas County. It happened at 7:47 Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 45, one half mile north of Church Road, in the town of Conover.
According to a news release from the Vilas County Sheriff's Office, two vehicles, a caravan and a car, were stopped in the southbound lane behind a school bus picking up a student. That's when a second southbound school bus collided with the caravan. Deputies said the caravan then hit the car.
The southbound school bus had 16 students on board at the time of the crash. One student and the driver of the caravan were transported to an area hospital for minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
