$1,325 raised during morning SYH Celebrity Gas Pump
More than $1,300 was raised Friday morning during the annual Share Your Holiday celebrity gas pump.
During the event on-air staff from NewsChannel 7 pumped your gas in exchange for food or monetary donations. Those item are donated to the Salvation Army in Wausau and Wausau Neighbor's Place. Monetary donations are matched up to $30,000.
If you missed Friday morning's event, the crew from Sunrise 7 will be at the Wagner's Shell on Stewart Avenue from 4-7 p.m. They hope to raise more than Friday morning's donations of $1,326.
Donations of nonperishable food and cash or checks can be dropped off at NewsChannel 7 during normal business hours at 1114 Grand Avenue in Wausau. Monetary donations can be taken to any River Valley Bank branch. Checks can be made out to 'Share Your Holidays'.
