WZAW FOX at Nine
Naomi joined WSAW in September 2018 as the News at Nine producer, before moving full-time to the 7 Investigates division in Spring of 2019.
As an investigative reporter, Naomi focuses on politics and crime but has covered a wide range of topics, particularly issues that impact Wisconsin’s farmer and child populations. She partnered with Emily Davies to report and produce a series that helped shed light on the frequency of child sexual assault in north central Wisconsin, and she has also produced a series on how drug abuse is driving an increasing number of children into the foster care system. Additionally, her reporting on criminal behavior in Ringle has been picked up and featured in some of the largest TV markets in the country as well as on CNN and CBS networks.
Naomi is originally from New York State and majored in International Studies. She taught English in Mongolia following graduation for more than a year, and her travels have taken her to South Africa, Russia and other countries before returning to the states in 2017. She covered city government for the Star Journal in Rhinelander before making the transition to broadcast journalism, and maintains her interest in travel and international affairs.
Her first goal is to provide fair, balanced reporting and share impactful narratives that inform and inspire the community. If you have a tip, feel you’ve been impacted by injustice, or just have a good story—go ahead and reach out.
