Road work to begin on N. 6th Street in Wausau

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - A portion of North 6th Street in Wausau will be closed while crews replace water laterals.

The work is scheduled to begin June 9.

The street is scheduled to be closed for two days between Franklin St and Hamilton St. After the closure, crews will reduce lanes for an additional two days to complete restoration work.

A detour using Franklin Street, North 7th Street and Hamilton Street will be posted during the closure.
