Former Police Chief appointed as Kronenwetter Village President
Dan Joling had been a village trustee
KRONENWETTER, Wis. (WSAW) - Current Village of Kronenwetter Trustee and former police chief Dan Joling has been appointed village president.
Former village president David Baker resigned earlier this month.
Joling will serve the remainder of Baker’s term which runs until April 2027.
The vote to appoint Joling as president was 5:0, with Joling abstaining from the vote.
The Village will be taking applications to fill the open trustee seat left vacant by Joling.
Those interested in filling the open seat are asked to complete and submit an application by Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025.
According to a news release, the Village Board will receive all the submitted applications, review them during an open session of a Village Board meeting and then vote to approve to appoint one of the applicants to complete Joling’s trustee term, which ends in April 2027.
Applicants must meet the same requirements to be appointed to a position as required to be elected to the position.
Applications can be submitted to Village Clerk Jennifer Poyer at jpoyer@kronenwetter.gov or dropped off at the Municipal Center at 1582 Kronenwetter Drive, Kronenwetter, WI 54455.
