Hundreds rally in Rib Mountain to protest against Trump
People across the country rallied against President Donald Trump on Saturday.
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - People across the country rallied against President Donald Trump on Saturday.
Hundreds of people gathered in Rib Mountain on Saturday, in response to the Trump Administration’s moves, including firing thousands of federal workers.
People rallied for about two hours. Just like everyone across the nation, they are sending a message.
“Let people know that we’re not happy with what’s happening in Washington right now. It seems like every day, there is another, there’s another thing that’s being defunded or, you know, attacked by Musk and Trump’s group,” said Chris Hornung, group leader for the North Central Wisconsin Indivisible Group.
“Our democracy is being taken away from us. And as you can see by the crowd that has shown up here, there is 630 at the last count, that people are not happy with what’s going on in our country right now, Democrat or Republican,” said Nancy Stencil, chair for the Marathon County Democratic Party.
Stencil says they want a democracy that works for everybody. They are here to represent everybody in this country.
