WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - It was a soggy first 24 to 36 hours to start the weekend. Rainfall ranged from around 3″ in Plover, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids, with a little over 1″ of rainfall in Wausau and Marshfield. Some clouds tonight with patchy fog possible late. Lows in the mid to upper 50s.
Monday features more clouds than sun with scattered showers and storms during the afternoon. Severe storms are not expected, but some storms could produce downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Mostly cloudy on Tuesday with scattered showers or storms. High in the upper 70s.
Partly sunny Wednesday a risk of showers or storms at night as a cold front moves toward the region. Highs in the low 80s. Showers or a storm possible Thursday in the morning, otherwise partly sunny. High in the low to mid 70s.
The early outlook for the 4th of July holiday weekend has some sun on Friday with highs in the mid 70s. Saturday partly sunny with a chance of showers or a storm. High in the upper 70s. A bit warmer on the 4th Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds. Afternoon readings in the low to mid 80s.
