Help Andy Grammer come up with a new song, while supporting summer camp programs
(WSAW) - Nothing makes the best memories quite like summer camp. That’s why Quaker Chewy-- a champion of kid-led play throughout its 40-year history-- is committed to helping provide access to play for kids through the ultimate camp-themed program for a good cause. It’s called the Quaker Chewy Play Fund.
This summer, Chewy is partnering with the American Camp Association and award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist, Andy Grammar, to help provide camp experiences to underprivileged kids across the country.
Grammer will lend his talents to write a fun, upbeat, modern take on a summer camp song, the Chewy Camp Track. He’ll enlist the help of families across the country to make this a memorable and shareable song for summers to come. Families can submit their original lyrics on ChewyCampTrack.com between June 7 and June 30, 2021 to help Andy create the song, and they may hear a lyric they inspired in the song when it’s released later this summer.
For each lyrical submission, Quaker Chewy will donate to support the American Camp Association and their Send a Child to Camp Fund to help send underserved kids to summer camp.
Grammar talked about this partnership with Quaker Chewy on Sunrise 7 and also shared a little on his upcoming single “Lease on Life”. During the pandemic, Grammer spent a majority of his time in the studio working on new music. He recently released a song titled “Close To You” with R3HAB.
