WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -Later in the week, there will be a quick warm up with more 80s and higher humidity on the way for Thursday, as a strong cold front approaches Wisconsin. This will bring another round of thunderstorms to the area Thursday evening, with temps dropping back into the upper 70s for Friday into the first part of the weekend.

Another round for showers will arrive Sunday evening, with most of Father’s Day remaining dry and a bit breezy throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will jump back into the lower 80s Sunday, with temperatures remaining a bit warmer than normal for the beginning of the next work week. In addition to Sunday being Father’s Day, it is also the start of summer, with the summer solstice happening at 10:32 p.m. Sunday evening.

Small chance for evening showers and thundershowers by Sunday evening.
