First Alert Weather - Muggy with storms possible on Thursday
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -
While temperatures remain above average for the next several days, the lows and highs from this week are running about 15° so far, compared to the lows and highs from last week. While temperatures have cooled off a bit, the less humid air is more noticeable and continues to remain in place for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Later in the week, there will be a quick warm up with more 80s and higher humidity on the way for Thursday, as a strong cold front approaches Wisconsin. This will bring another round of thunderstorms to the area by Thursday, with temps dropping back into the upper 70s Friday, as breezy conditions return to central Wisconsin. Some stronger thunderstorms may be possible for Thursday, especially in southwestern Wisconsin, where large hail and wind gusts over 60 mph will be possible.
