3 to be charged with armed robbery, stabbing dog in Forest County
WABENO, Wis. (WSAW) - Three people are in custody and facing charges following armed home invasions that happened in Forest and Oconto counties.
Authorities said the first was reported June 4 around 11:30 a.m. at a residence on Eagle Lane in Wabeno. About a 30 minutes later, the Oconto County Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting an armed home invasion robbery at a residence in the town of Mountain.
Deputies and investigators with the Forest County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home on Eagle Lane and began an investigation. The Forest County K9 Unit also responded. K9 Thunder located two pieces of evidence that were collected believed to be dropped by the suspects. The K9 tracked out to Industrial Park Road where the suspects got into a vehicle. Detectives were able to obtain shoe print impressions and vehicle tire track impressions.
Investigators said three male suspects broke into the home. They were armed with a gun and knives and pointed the firearm at a 12-year-old boy, ordering him on the floor. The suspects then stole several items including cash, jewelry and prescription pills. The suspects also stabbed the family’s dog.
Wednesday, Kevin Reed, 20, of White Lake was arrested. He’s currently in the Oconto County Jail. On Thursday, Keilon Reed, 16, of White Lake and Galen Daniels, 17, of Wabeno were also arrested. Both will be charged as adults.
