Marathon County June Dairy Breakfast welcomes back hundreds after a year off
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - The Marathon County June Dairy Breakfast made its return on Sunday, after a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held at Swiderski Equipment in Mosinee.
Hundreds of hungry people lined up to be served a meal complete with scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, real maple syrup, fresh cheese curds and ice cream.
Organizers said besides eating a tasty meal, the event was also educational about the importance of dairy and agriculture to our state’s economy.
“We really hope to get our community out to enjoy a dairy delicious breakfast that features a wide variety of dairy foods, but also to help them immerse themselves in agriculture. We have more of the equipment side this year, but we still have great dairy interactive,” said Samantha Solin, executive coordinator of Partnership for Progressive Agriculture.
After the breakfast, many families enjoyed tractor rides around the campus.
Some NewsChannel 7 staff members also volunteered their time to serve breakfast at the event.
