First Alert Weather: Warm and humid for the beginning of the work week
The summer-like conditions will stick around with chances of afternoon scattered storms.
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - After a hot and breezy weekend across North Central Wisconsin, the above-average temperatures will continue for the next several days. Some clouds tonight and warm with lows in the mid 60s to around 70.
A mix of sun and clouds Monday. It is going to be a bit more humid with a chance of scattered afternoon storms. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Tuesday will feature some sun with a better chance of afternoon storms developing. A few storms could produce locally heavy rainfall. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Wednesday and Thursday are partly sunny with a continued risk of a few showers or storms, especially during the afternoon into the early evening hours. Daytime readings in the mid to upper 80s.
A weak cold front may make in-roads toward the Badger State on Friday. One of many factors that are yet to be determined includes the timing of when the front would work through our region. If the cold front arrives during the afternoon hours, that would provide the best chance of strong to possibly severe storms in the region. However, if that front doesn’t get here until later in the evening, there will be a lower chance of strong storms, but still a risk of storms that produce downpours and lightning. Be sure to check back for updates as the week goes on to see how the weather conditions on Friday into Friday night could play out. Still warm and humid to end the work week with highs in the mid 80s.
The upcoming weekend is shaping up to be dry with a fair amount of sunshine. Highs both days in the mid 80s.
