MADISON, Wis. (WSAW) - Stevens Point native Cole Caufield poured in a hat trick on Tuesday against Penn State. His four-goal series against the Nittany Lions helped him garner the Big Ten First Star of the Week.

Caufield became the first Wisconsin Badger since Robbie Earl (2003-2006) to have two career hat tricks.

Caufield sits at four goals on the season, which is tied for the most in the nation. He also is second in the nation with eight points.

This is Caufield’s second-career weekly award, and his first since Oct. 15, 2019.
