WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - President Trump was greeted Thursday night by an estimated 5,000 supporters during a campaign stop in Mosinee. His Make America Great Again event began at 8 p.m. at the Central Wisconsin Airport.

"On Nov. 3, Wisconsin will decide if we have four more years of record prosperity... " Trump said to cheers. “In the first 3 years, we lifted 6.6 million people out of poverty, the largest poverty reduction of any president in the history of our country.”

Supporters chanted ‘4 more years’ and ‘USA’ during points of Trump’s speech. Some supporters had been camped outside since Wednesday night.

Trump talked about his achievements and said 2021 could be ‘the best year yet’

“It was just announced that in 2019 before the virus came in from China, we grew median income by a record of $4,400 in just one year, achieving the highest median income in US history. That’s in the history of our country.”

Trump said if Joe Biden is elected there would be tax hikes and a ban on American energy. Biden will be in Duluth Friday, but he does not have any scheduled visits to Wisconsin.
